When does the operational service end
Sooner or later, the time comes for every TBC operator to conclude their service in the field.
Tools are returned, colleagues say goodbye, and a long story made of precision, attention, and care seems to be coming to an end.
It seems like it.
Why at TBC an operator can end the service, but experience, manual skills, and the desire to be together still have a lot to tell.
The experience does not end with the service
Far from field interventions, the curiosity, precision, and attention honed over many years of activity remain intact.
But above all, there is something we at TBC do not want to lose: the desire to keep doing, reasoning, and sharing.
We just had to find a new way to do it.

It is not enough to choose a construction
The Club soon finds itself faced with a problem.
Not all buildings are suitable.
Some are extraordinary, but they can have thousands of pieces, very complex instructions, tiny details, and require weeks or months of work.
At the complete opposite extreme, there are deliberately very simple constructions, though designed for a completely different audience.
And this raises a question.
Why should simplifying mean infantilizing?
Those who have lived many years may want to continue thinking, creating, making choices, making mistakes, and trying again.
Simply with a different challenge.
Something new was needed.
No longer easier. Simply more suitable.

It is not enough to choose a construction
At Circolo, we discover it right away: a build can be beautiful, yet have thousands of pieces, hard-to-follow instructions, and require excessive effort.
At the same time, making it too simple would mean taking away precisely what we want to keep alive: curiosity, reasoning, precision, and manual skills.
Something different was needed.
No longer easier. Simply more suitable.
The principle of the TBC Senior Sets
A Senior Set TBC should be:
- thought-provoking enough;
- accessible enough to be completed;
- built with normal elements, without infantilizing;
- accompanied by clear and legible instructions;
- based on recognizable and significant subjects;
- divisible into sustainable construction sessions;
- fun to make together too;
- pretty enough to deserve a place in the house once finished.
Why reaching an advanced age does not mean losing the desire to challenge oneself.
It simply means being able to choose the right challenge.
Much more than a building
A person is looking for the piece.
Another one checks the instructions.
Someone proposes a solution.
Someone else is convinced that that little brick had already been on the table for ten minutes.
Sometimes you make mistakes.
Sometimes you start over.
Sometimes you need a little help.
And maybe a phone call comes to a son or a grandchild to fix that step that just won't work.
Then, piece by piece, the project takes shape.
And when construction is finally finished, not just a model remains on the table.
They remain shared time, reasoning, manual skills, collaboration and smiles.
A category that perhaps is still missing
The TBC Senior Operators Club belongs to our imaginary universe.
Naturally, the TBC Set Bins don't actually exist either.
But the need they describe is very real.
Today there are buildings designed for children and increasingly sophisticated construction sets dedicated to adults.
Between these two worlds, however, there could be room for something different.
A category capable of respecting age without turning it into a limit.
Capable of offering a challenge without making it excessive.
Capable of bringing together mind, hands, time and people.
TBC does not claim to have the definitive answer.
He simply imagined that this category could exist.
As is often the case at Tiny Brick Cleaning Co., it all started with a very simple question:
